Terms of use
These terms govern the use of the Your Ski Instructor platform by clients and by instructors.
Dernière mise à jour : 30 August 2026
1. Purpose
Your Ski Instructor (hereinafter "the Platform"), operated by ALTITUDE SERVICES S.R.L. (Societate cu răspundere limitată (SRL) — société de droit roumain, NIF 50212336, registered office: Drumul Fermei n° 117G, Camera 1, Popești-Leordeni, Județ Ilfov, Roumanie), is an online service connecting people who wish to book a ski or snowboard lesson (the "Clients") with qualified independent instructors (the "Instructors"). The Platform acts solely as a technical intermediary: it is not a party to the teaching contract concluded between the Client and the Instructor and does not itself provide any lessons.
2. Acceptance of the terms
Creating an account and making any booking constitute full and unreserved acceptance of these terms. They may be amended; the applicable version is the one in force on the booking date.
3. User account
- The account is personal. The user is responsible for keeping their credentials confidential.
- The information provided must be accurate and kept up to date.
- The Platform may suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these terms, fraud or conduct that undermines user safety.
4. Instructors' obligations
- Hold the qualification and authorisation required for paid skiing or snowboarding instruction in the country where they teach: in France, a valid professional sports-educator card; for an instructor qualified in another European state, the equivalence required in France (the "Eurotest"); or the mountain-guide diploma for the activities concerned.
- Be compliant with their professional status and their social and tax obligations, and hold professional liability insurance.
- Keep their availability calendar up to date and honour confirmed lessons.
- Deliver lessons in compliance with mountain safety rules and adapt the activity to the participants' actual level and to the conditions of the day.
5. Clients' obligations
- Provide accurate information about the level and number of participants.
- Show up at the agreed time and place, with suitable equipment and in a fit state to practise.
- Follow the safety instructions given by the Instructor.
6. Booking and payment
A booking is firm once it is confirmed (immediately if the Instructor offers instant booking, otherwise within 24 hours). Payment is collected on the Instructor's behalf via the provider Stripe. The Platform takes a commission of 10% of the lesson amount, deducted from the sum paid to the Instructor. The Client bears no service fee.
To simplify instructors’ bookkeeping, the Platform draws up and sends the Instructor, in their name and on their behalf (self-billing), a periodic invoice summarising the lessons delivered and paid online, the Platform’s commission and the net amount. By accepting these terms, the Instructor mandates the Platform to issue these invoices and undertakes to report any dispute within 30 days. The Instructor remains solely responsible for their tax and social-security obligations.
7. Cancellation and refund
- Cancellation by the Client more than 48 h before the lesson: full refund.
- Cancellation between 48 h and 24 h before the lesson: 50% refund.
- Cancellation less than 24 h before the lesson or no-show: no refund, except in a duly justified case of force majeure.
- Cancellation by the Instructor or inability to deliver the lesson (weather, safety): full refund of the Client.
8. Role and liability of the Platform
The Platform endeavours to verify the diplomas declared by Instructors but does not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of the services, which are the sole responsibility of the Instructor. The Platform cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the performance of the lesson. The Platform has a best-efforts obligation regarding the availability of the service.
9. Reviews
Only Clients who have actually taken a lesson may post a review. Reviews that are manifestly abusive, defamatory or unrelated to the service may be removed.
10. Intellectual property
The trademark, domain name, visual identity and code of the Platform are protected. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited. Instructors grant the Platform a right to use the content they publish (text, photos) for the purpose of displaying their profile.
11. Personal data
Data processing is described in the privacy policy. Privacy policy
12. Governing law
As the Platform is operated by a company governed by Romanian law, these terms are subject to Romanian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the Client's country of residence within the European Union. Failing an amicable settlement, the dispute shall be brought before the competent courts. (Clause to be validated according to the chosen legal strategy.)
